Gear Rental Terms & Conditions

Duration: The rental period begins at the scheduled pick-up time and ends when the equipment is returned to SAF Studio and inspected by our technicians.
Late Returns: Equipment returned after the agreed-upon time will incur a late fee equivalent to 50% of the daily rate for every 4 hours of delay. Returns exceeding 8 hours late will be charged as a full additional day.
Extensions: Any extension of the rental period must be requested and approved in writing at least 24 hours before the original return deadline.

Deposit: A refundable security deposit is required for all rentals. The amount is determined based on the total value of the gear kit. This deposit is held to cover minor damages, late fees, or missing accessories.
Refund: Deposits will be processed for refund within 48 hours of the equipment’s safe return and technical clearance.
Payment: Full payment of the rental fee is required to confirm the booking. We accept Bank Transfers, Mobile Money, and Corporate Checks (cleared prior to pick-up).

Pre-Rental Check: SAF Studio technicians will conduct a functional test in the presence of the Renter or their designated DOP/Technician during pick-up. By signing the release, the Renter acknowledges the gear is in perfect working order.
Post-Rental Check: Upon return, gear will undergo a "High-Fidelity Inspection." The Renter remains liable for any internal or external damage discovered during this 48-hour window that was not present at pick-up.

Renter Liability: The Renter assumes full responsibility for the equipment from the moment it leaves SAF Studio premises. This includes damage caused by environmental factors (sand, water, heat), theft, or accidental drops.
Insurance Requirement: For high-value kits (exceeding a specified threshold), the Renter must provide proof of Production Insurance naming SAF Studio as a "Loss Payee."
Uninsured Loss: In the absence of insurance, the Renter is liable for the Full Replacement Value of the item at current market prices, plus any loss of rental income incurred during the replacement period.

Skill Competency: The Renter warrants that the equipment will be operated by qualified professionals. SAF Studio reserves the right to deny rentals if the operator’s competence cannot be verified.
Mandatory Technicians: For specialized high-end kits, SAF Studio may require an on-site Technician (Minder) at an additional daily rate to ensure the structural integrity of the gear.

Equipment must not be taken outside of Ghana without prior written consent and specialized transit insurance.
Gear must not be used in hazardous environments (e.g., open sea, aerial stunts, or combat zones) unless explicitly disclosed and approved in the rental agreement.

By signing the Rental Manifest or submitting the Google Rental Form, the Renter agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
